Seth Fuller surprises at King of the Concrete

Syracuse, N.Y. - After Seth Fuller's much improved indoor concrete performance at Syracuse last weekend, he looked forward to taking on an even tougher challenge at the 11th Annual Carolina Karting King of The Concrete race, held on Saturday inside the Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.

The 13-year-old surprised even himself by racing up front all weekend, walking away with a well-earned third place finish in Junior Gold, and then running third in the Junior King of the Concrete race before motor problems forced him out.

"That was so much fun," Seth said.  "I really enjoyed racing at Greensboro.  I don't know if even I thought we would end up running as well as we did.  We were fast in practice, and we changed a bunch of stuff trying to get even faster.  The Junior Gold race we qualified outside pole, and I thought we might have a shot at the win, but for the race we missed just a little bit on the setup, and I just couldn't pass.  Third was really good though!"

The King of the Concrete race for Seth's class was the bigger race of the two he would run, featuring even tougher competition as well as a higher purse.

Seth qualified his Fuller Racing machine sixth fastest, highly respectable for a rookie who has limited experience on indoor concrete tracks.  He wanted to make a statement early in the event to show that he could get to the front in a hurry.

The green flag waved, and Seth dropped the hammer.  Within one lap he went from sixth to third.  Statement made.

"Then we had a caution," Seth recalls.  "And the motor died and wouldn't restart.  It turned out to be a little bit of dirt in the gas cap, something we hadn't even thought about.  I really believe we had a car to win that race, but it wasn't our time I guess.  It was a fun weekend, and I can't wait to get back there next year now that I know what to expect!"

Seth Fuller Snares Two Top Fives at Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. - 13-year-old kart racer Seth Fuller scored two top fives at the 19th Annual New York State Indoor Kart Championship over the weekend at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y.

Seth raced in two different divisions on the challenging indoor oval.  In the Junior 3 Gold division, he raced his Predator chassis, winning one heat and finishing fourth in the other.  In the main event, a loose kart left him hanging on for dear life but he drove hard to finish in fourth place.

"We missed on the setup for the feature," Seth said afterward.  "We over-adjusted the kart and made it too loose.  This was the first time we raced the Predator indoors.  I had to really be careful out there in that race."

Next up for Seth would be the Junior Animal class, and for that race he switched to his trusted Slack Axiom, which he had raced indoors before.  Again he scored a win and a fourth place finish in his heat races, and started outside pole for the main.

Seth ran second the entire race and appeared to be destined for victory when the leader spun out with a lap left.  He restarted in the lead but the motor coughed on the restart and he fell to a disappointing third place finish.

"I thought we had that one won," the racer smiled afterward.  "But then the motor cut out and I lost a couple spots.  We found out it was leaking oil, so we're going to have to look at it this week and see what's wrong.  I need to thank my family and my crew chief Lance Yeager for everything they do to keep me racing.  We didn't get a win here but we ran good and we showed we could race for wins, so we'll get ready and go take on the southern boys in the King of Concrete race down in North Carolina next weekend."

Seth and the team will take on the best in indoor concrete-style kart racing at the 11th Annual Carolina Karting King of Concrete race this Friday and Saturday, December 16th and 17th, at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Seth Fuller Will Do Double Duty at New York State Indoor Kart Championship This Weekend

Syracuse, N.Y. - 13-year-old kart racer Seth Fuller will do double duty when the 19th Annual New York State Indoor Kart Championship gets underway this weekend at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y.  He'll be racing in both the Junior 3 Gold Plate class and the Black Plate Junior Animal division, running two separate karts.

"Our plan is to run the Predator Chassis in the Junior 3 Gold class, and our Slack Axiom in the Animal class," Seth said. "I think we have a shot at winning both races.  I really have a good feeling about this weekend.  I've been fighting a sinus infection or something all week so I hope I'll feel better, but either way we're going there to win two races, and I believe in my family and my crew chief Lance Yeager to help me get there!"

Practice takes place on Friday night inside the Americraft Center of Progress Building at the Fairgrounds, and racing gets underway at 11am on Saturday.  Gates open at 11am for spectators as well.

"This type of racing is a blast for fans to watch," Seth said.  "They put coca cola syrup down on the concrete floor and then heat it up and it gets mixed with the rubber from our tires.  The track gets more and more grip all day Saturday, so we have to keep adjusting the kart and the tires for it.  I can't wait to get there and get started!"

Seth Fuller Dominates at Paradise Speedway

Geneva, N.Y. - For 13-year-old Seth Fuller, this past weekend was a reminder of what can happen when driver, machine, and track all come together as one.  On a cold Upstate New York day, Seth was as hot as could be as he dominated the 16-kart field to win the final outdoor feature race of the year at Paradise Speedway in Geneva, N.Y.

"The track was perfect for the kart," Seth said about his run.  "The only thing we changed all day was the gear.  I started fifth in the first heat and won it, then started outside pole in the second heat and won it also.  That put us in really good shape for the feature."

The feature was all Fuller, all the time, as he stormed out to an early lead and never looked back.  "They told me after the race that I was so far ahead that the second place kart thought he won and was pumping his fist in the air as he crossed the finish line," the happy racer said.  "It was pretty cool to be so fast and know that I had the kart to win if I didn't make a mistake.  Thanks to Lance Yeager and my family for all their help today.   I appreciate everything they do for me.  I had a lot of fun today and I am just glad we came out with the win!"

Seth Fuller Anticipating Fall Classic This Weekend

Campbell, N.Y. - The season of fall, if 13-year-old Seth Fuller has his way, will start off in Western New York State as the "season of Fuller", as the young racer takes his Predator Chassis to Paradise Speedway in Geneva, N.Y. this Saturday seeking victory in the Fall Classic Presented By The New York Dirt Kart Series.

Fuller, who is still smarting over what he feels were at least two races that got away from him last weekend in Pennsylvania, says he's determined to bring crew chief Lance Yeager and the Fuller Racing team back to victory lane this weekend.

"I love that track," Seth said about Paradise.  "I've run fast there and won there.  We'll have our Predator Chassis ready to go, and this one isn't about points.  It's all about winning and that's what we're focused on.  There will be some tough competition there, but we feel like we are a threat to win every time out now and that's what we want to do."

Yeager says Seth's improvement behind the wheel this year has been remarkable.  "Yeah, he's definitely made us look good more than once," the crew chief joked.  "Seth has really sharpened his skills and is starting to make the kind of moves on the track now that you need to make in order to race for wins.  He's fun to watch because he races hard right to the end and isn't afraid to take chances if he thinks he needs to.  It's our job not to lose races in the pits or the preparation phase, because he will definitely put us in position to win more times than not if we put the kart underneath him to do it.  He still has a ways to go, but he's really come a long, long way this season for sure."

Seth Fuller Enjoys Successful Pennsylvania Weekend
Campbell, N.Y. - Team Full Throttle racer Seth Fuller, 13, and his team were getting ready to head to Pennsylvania for last Sunday's final Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series (PDKS) race at Path Valley Speedway when they decided to add a Saturday stop at Lil' Greenwood Valley Raceway in Orangeville, PA for the East Meets West Shootout Series race to their itinerary.

Fuller's day at Lil' Greenwood didn't start off the way he would have liked it to, as two karts came together in front of him and he was unable to avoid contact.  "The kart was messed up pretty good," the driver said. "But Lance Yeager and our team got it back together for me for the features."

In his first feature, the kart's handling was not ideal for track conditions, and Seth finished a disappointing seventh.  But he rebounded nicely in the East Meets West Series race, nearly taking the win before finishing a strong second.

"I really should have won the second race," Seth commented.  "But second was really good after the crash earlier in the day.  Thanks to Lance and my family for helping me get through the day today.  Now we'll load up and get ready for Path Valley tomorrow."

Fast forward to Sunday, and the PDKS Series finale.  Enter a well-prepared kart, and a driver on a mission.  In the Junior 2 Lite class, Seth started third and wasted little time in taking over the lead.  A three-kart battle ensued for the win and Seth was driving his No. 1 for all it was worth.

On the final lap, Seth was leading when his kart broke loose slightly, slowing him momentarily and resulting in an exciting fourth place finish.  "That race was amazing," Seth smiled. "Again I should have won.  But it was a lot of fun racing like that, with three of us all chasing the win!"

The talented youngster saved his best performance of the weekend for his last one.  In his second feature of the day, he started second and had high hopes for a win.  Unfortunately, the outside groove was not the place to be and he got shuffled to the back of the field before he could get down into the preferred line.

Determined to still finish on the podium (top three), Seth mounted his charge.  With pass-timing skills that have allowed him to visit victory lane multiple times already this year, Seth started winging his way through the field and got his wish.  He was third at the checkers.

"We had a good weekend overall," Seth said.  "I always want to win, but it doesn't always work out that way.  We had some really close races and we had a lot of fun. It's awesome when you have close racing like that!"

Seth Fuller Wins Two Races at Paradise NY Dirt Kart Series Event!

Geneva, N.Y. - Team Full Throttle racer Seth Fuller and crew chief Lance Yeager got their Predator Chassis hooked up on Saturday at the NY Dirt Kart Series (NYDKS) race at Paradise Speedway in Geneva, N.Y. and he won both the track's regular feature and the NYDKS Series race to up his win total for the year to six races.

Fuller, 12, had two seconds and a first in qualifying race action, and he started the regular track feature in 5th spot.  It didn't take long for him to charge to the front and once he got the lead, he was never headed en-route to the checkered flag.

"Wow, that was fun," said Seth.  "This Predator Chassis is a rocket right now!  We start pole in the series race, so I hope we can just get out front and lead all the laps and win it!"

Mission accomplished.  With 29 karts on the track, Seth led every lap, and the checkered flag ended up having his name on it once again as he made it two-for-two on the evening.  Afterward, he talked about how valuable having a good crew chief is in a major series race like the one he'd just won.

"Lance really knows what he wants out of me and the go-kart," Seth said.  "When he gets that thing set up, all I have to do is drive it smart and I know we'll finish up front somewhere.  I love this Predator kart.  We still have a shot at the championship in this series and I want that really bad!"

Sunday proved a bit more of a challenge for the team at Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series (PDKS) race at Selingsgrove Speedway.  The team switched to their Slack Racing Chassis, and ended up having to change engines before the heats.  He ended up starting 17th in the first feature, and drove hard to make it to third at the wire.

In the nightcap, he was running strong when he came together with another kart and ended up out of the event before the checkers.

Seth Fuller Captures Two Solid Top Fives In New York Dirt Kart Series Action

Fort Edward, N.Y. - Team Full Throttle racer Seth Fuller once again showed why he is one of the top young kart racers in the country on Saturday at Turkey Trot Raceway north of Albany in Fort Edward, N.Y.  After a strong second place run in the track's regular feature race, Seth drove from 25th to 5th in the final twelve laps of the New York Dirt Kart Series event after being spun out of the top five position he was racing in.

Seth, 12, has four wins already on the year, and with that strong run in the second feature, he remains in the hunt for the NYDKS points championship.

"The second race was the one we wanted to win the most,"  Seth said.  "That was the state series race.  I was running top five and trying to be patient early when I got spun out and had to start at the back.  There was no way I was going to let this cost me a shot at the points, so I drove as hard as I could coming back through the field.  Lance had the Predator Chassis kart fast as always.  We should be winning more, we've just had some bad luck.  It's hard to come from the back to win these series races.  There are a lot of good drivers who know what they're doing here."

Seth will have several chances to get back to winning form this weekend, as he pulls double duty in two different series.  He'll race in the New York Dirt Kart Series with his Predator Chassis on Saturday at Geneva, New York's Paradise Speedway, and then head south to Selingsgrove Speedway in Pennsylvania on Sunday with his Slack Chassis to race in the Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series.

Team Full Throttle Racer Seth Fuller Second at Flatrun Speedway

Drifting, Pa. - Team Full Throttle racer Seth Fuller's day at the East-West Shootout Series event at the Flatrun Speedway was a good news-bad news day, being taken out under a caution in the Shootout Series feature but coming back for second in the track's nightcap.

The series race was first.  Seth charged through the field to third, and then brushed wheels with the second place kart, passing him to take over the runner-up spot.

Shortly thereafter, A caution flag slowed the field to a crawl, at which time the third place driver decided to exact revenge, and rammed the back of Fuller's kart under the yellow.  The brake line was ripped out of the caliper on Seth's kart, forcing him out of the action.

He got right to work in the nightcap and stormed back for a strong second place finish, but the 12-year-old was still steaming when the night was over.

"I would be happy with second place in this last race but the first race took us out of the points.  I don't race people dirty," Seth said of the first race incident.  "I got him a little loose and passed him, and he just pile-drove me under the yellow. They said he hit me so hard his back wheels came up off the ground.  We struggled early in the day but Lance Yeager got the kart rolling for the feature.  Thanks to my family, Lance, and Predator Chassis."

Seth and the team will take this weekend off, before getting right back to the grind with a doubleheader July 9th and 10th.  On the 9th, he'll race his Predator Chassis in the New York State Dirt Kart Series race at Ransomville Speedway near Niagara Falls, N.Y.  Then, the team will drive through the night to race the Slack Chassis kart on Saturday in the next Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series Race at Shellhammers Speedway.

Team Full Throttle Racer Seth Fuller Wins NYDKS Race at Lime Rock

Caledonia, N.Y. - Team Full Throttle racer Seth Fuller dominated the action in the Junior 2 class in New York State Dirt Kart Series (NYDKS) action at Lime Rock Speedway in Caledonia, N.Y. over the weekend, picking up a win and a third in his qualifying races and then leading every lap of the feature in his Predator Chassis Go-Kart.

Thirty-one karts entered Seth's class, a challenging day for everyone involved. "I had a lot of fun racing here," Seth said after the event.  "My team had the Pedator kart super fast, and I just didn't want to make a mistake driving it.  Once I came from the back to third in my second heat I knew I had the stuff to win, so I just tried to be fast but careful.  Thanks to Lance Yeager and my family for everything they do for me, and to Barry Straub from Predator for all of his support and belief in me."

The victory was Seth's fourth win of the year.  Seth's next race with his Predator Chassis is round three of the East-West Series, and will take place at Flat Run Speedway in Allport, Pa.  The 12-year-old is in contention to win four series championships right now as he continues to have an outstanding season.

Third and Fifth For Seth Fuller In PDKS Action

Cove Valley, Pa. - Team Full Throttle racer Seth Fuller continued his season of remarkable consistency with two more top five finishes in the challenging Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series (PDKS) over the weekend at Cove Valley.

Fighting poor track conditions, all the racers had to adjust to single file restarts as officials wanted to steer them away from a large bump.

Seth started tenth in the Junior 2 light class with his Lance Yeager prepared Slack Chassis Kart. He immediately began moving forward, winging his way through the field to a fifth place finish at the checkers.

Next up for the 12-year-old would be the Junior 2 Heavy class.  Seth started sixth, but fell back to tenth on the start.  Determined to end the day with another top five, he began to make quick work of the karts in front of him, slicing through the field one by one.  He would achieve his goal and more, ending the day with a solid third place run.

"This was a really rough track for everyone today," Seth said afterward.  "It was so bumpy.  I just tried to be careful and not make any mistakes. We come to the track to win and I know we will get some wins in this series, but today I just did the best I could with the track the way it was. Thanks to Lance and the team for all they did for me today.  Everyone worked hard."

Seth Fuller Leads Early; Mechanical Issue Drops Him To Third at Checkers In N.Y. Dirt Kart Series Opener

Caroga Creek, N.Y. - Team Full Throttle go-kart racer Seth Fuller went into the opening race of the New York Dirt Kart Series (NYDKS) at Caroga Creek Raceway feeling very good about his chances of winning with his Predator X-11 Chassis.

He nearly pulled it off, winning both heats and leading the first 12 laps of the feature before a loose header slowed him down and resulted in a third place finish.

"Wow, we were fast today," Fuller said after the race.  "We were going to win this race until the header came loose.  I have to say thanks to my family, my crew chief Lance Yeager, and to Barry Straub for the chassis.  We had a lot of fun today.  I just wish we could have gotten the win."

Next on the schedule For Seth is a swap back to the Slack Chassis kart in preparation for this weekend's Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series event at Cove Valley.

Seth Fuller Fourth at Penns Creek In New Predator Chassis

Penns Creek, Pa. - Team Full Throttle go-kart racer Seth Fuller added another top five finish to his belt on Saturday as he started fifth and finished fourth at Penns Creek in his first of two features.

In the second feature, which was part of the East-West Shootout Series, he started 10th and was running in third and racing for second with five laps left when he ran out of fuel.  It was a hard pill to swallow for the 12-year-old, who has won three times so far this year.

"Well first off, our Predator X-11 chassis was just awesome to race today," Seth said.  "I appreciate Barry Straub choosing me to race a kart for him.  I guess we just didn't top off the fuel before the second feature.  I think we could have had second in that race.  We'll take this kart to Caroga Creek next week for the New York Dirt Kart Series (NYDKS) race and see if we can get us a win there."

Seth Fuller Third at Flatrun Speedway

Millville, Pa. - Seth Fuller has raced five times in 2011 and still has yet to finish lower than fourth.  This past Saturday, he and his team made a last minute decision to drop by the Flatrun Speedway in Morrisdale, Pa., and with no practice time he still managed to drive through the feature field to finish third.

Originally, the team was supposed to be competing in round two of the East-West Shootout Series at Cove Valley, but the race was rained out so they decided to journey to Flatrun hoping to get 12-year-old Seth some test and tune time at the track with his go-kart for a future series race.

"It was fun to just go somewhere and give it a shot," Seth said.  "We missed all of practice and one of our two heat races.  I managed a fourth in the second one.  I had a good time just coming up through the pack in the feature race and seeing how far I could get.  I learned a lot for later when we come back for the East-West race."

Seth and his team will race at Paradise Speedway in Geneva, N.Y. this weekend in round one of the New York State Dirt Kart Series.  For that series, Seth will debut his new Predator Chassis kart.  "I'm pretty excited to try out the Predator this weekend," Seth said.  "I am hoping to put it in victory lane at Paradise."

Seth Fuller Fourth At Greenwood Valley

Millville, Pa. - Seth Fuller's three-race win streak to start the season was on the line when he pulled into the Greenwood Valley Action Track on Saturday and rolled his Go-Kart out of the trailer. He had a chance to make it four for four, but in the end settled for a strong fourth place finish.

After finishing sixth and first in his two qualifying races, the rapidly maturing 12-year-old found himself starting on the outside of the front row for the feature. He got shuffled back all the way to eleventh at the drop of the green as the inside groove turned out to be the place to be on the dirt surface.

Seth would once again show the passing skills that have been his trademark this year. By lap 10, he had methodically charged his way back to second, and he picks up the story from there.

"We had two red flags late in the race, and the second one was a long one.  I was in third at that time, and my tires cooled down.  We only had seven laps left and the kart just didn't handle as well on cold tires.  We finished fourth.  It was a good run after getting freight trained early and falling back.  It's fun to know we have what it takes to win anywhere we go now.  Thanks to my family and my crew chief Lance Yeager for all of their help this year."

Seth Fuller Takes Checkers At Paradise

Syracuse, N.Y. - When last week started, Seth Fuller and his team weren't planning on racing at Paradise Speedway.  By the time he woke up on Easter Sunday, not only had he raced there, he had won.

Fuller's win was his first at the 1/4-mile track, and the team's last minute decision to race there produced three wins total because despite missing practice, his crew chief Lance Yeager strapped on the helmet and scored two victories himself.

"Lance had the karts rolling," Seth said.  "We had to start in the back because we were a little late getting to the track but it was cool that we won all three of our classes."

Fuller also got another Easter surprise, as Barry Straub from Predator Karts has offered Seth a ride for the New York State Dirt Kart Series, which begins on May 14th.  He will race the Predator in those events while still running the Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series with his Slack Chassis.

"I appreciate Barry's interest in me as a racer, and I hope we can help him out with some good runs and wins so people can see the the Predator Karts are top notch.  It makes me feel good that Barry sought us out and wanted to work with us.  We have two fast karts now, so that should help us a lot with all the competition in both series."

After icing Two Wins, Seth Fuller Excited About 2011 Season

Campbell, N.Y. - Seth Fuller got his first chance to compete in a 2011 race last weekend, melting the ice on his off-season with a clean sweep of both features in the Extreme International Ice Race at the First Arena in Elmira, N.Y.

The 12-year-old racer showed tremendous patience and finesse as he battled the difficult conditions to outsmart the other racers in the Junior Unrestricted Class.

"I basically came from deep in the pack both nights," a happy Fuller said.  "I really had to watch what I was doing with my feet because there wasn't a lot of grip.  I just kept telling myself to take my time and I would be alright.  It was pretty cool to win both races.  I had a lot of fun!"

Now the talented and maturing youngster looks forward to his season on the dirt, a season that will find his family-owned team competing all over New York and Pennsylvania in two different series.

"We are running both the New York State Series and the Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series," Seth said.  "I am excited about this year because Lance (Yeager) is going to be my crew chief again and I think we can win a championship.  He does too.  I learned a lot from him last year and he really helped us to be fast at each race. I can't wait to get started!"
